Leveraging blockchain technology, the registry establishes a public transaction ledger for the SAF market and manages the full lifecycle of SAF certificates, including issuance, transfer, retirement, and statistical reporting. All SAF certificate circulation and transaction information is recorded on the ledger in an open, transparent, and traceable manner, thereby ensuring the uniqueness, integrity, and tradability of the associated environmental attributes.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a collective term for fuels produced from clean feedstocks that deliver emissions reductions and can be used directly in conventional aircraft engines.
